He was a well-known and distinguished person in the area, and he stood out for the honesty and professionalism he put into his work. This allowed his son Celeste, since he was a kid, to be fascinated with the art of working wood and, as soon as he was able, he built a workshop.
In 2000 Celeste Ruá met Mario Strumia, and soon a friendship was established, becoming stronger through time.
Strumia Mario immediately understood Celeste’ potential. From this collaboration, Bosc Vej Snc was founded and later became Srl in 2002.
In 2003, Anselmo, Celeste’s younger brother, joined the company with his organizing skills and became the third pillar of the company.
In 2005, Celeste Ruá opened his own Museum of Furniture in Alta Valle Varaita, Castello, Pontechianale. The museum was established in a 1700 house restored by Bosc Vej.
The first experiences were based on restoring of antique work of barnyards and dismissed alpine refuges. Those times were not easy because it was unusual to offer antique wood as an alternative to the wood commonly employed.
The results that can be obtained restoring antique wood still find resistance with some customers, especially the Italian ones. As a result, the main work is committed for a 60% abroad and the remaining 40% in Italy.
